The Team

 

Jeffrey Hoffman - President & CEO
Jeffrey is responsible for business development, marketing, and strategic planning at webslingerz. He has served in this capacity since founding the company in 1995. During this time he was also a founding partner at the law firm of Lockhart + Hoffman where he oversaw client strategy until the firm was acquired by Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice in 2002. Jeffrey holds a JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a BA in Russian from the University of North Carolina. He is admitted to the bar in North Carolina and Minnesota.

 

Dr. Michael Strickland - Director of Software Development
Michael is responsible for the creation of software applications for clients of webslingerz. He has served in this capacity since co-founding the company in 1995. Michael holds a PhD in Physics from Duke University and a BS in Physics from the University of North Carolina. He is an expert in a wide range of Internet technologies.

 

Aaron Pinero - Director of Design
Aaron manages creative development for clients of webslingerz. He has over a decade of media design experience which includes information design, graphic design, multimedia development, and website production. Aaron holds a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and a Masters in Communications Design from Pratt Institute.

 

Andrew Herman, CPA - CFO
Andrew is responsible for all financial activities at webslingerz. He has served in this capacity since co-founding the company in 1995. During this time he was also a partner in the accounting firm of Wood & Herman. Andrew holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina.

 

Alex Verhoeven - Interactive Media Producer
Alex is responsible for the project management of large corporate accounts and the webslingerz team that services them. He has led this team for six years and directed the creation of a multitude of projects, including rich web content, custom web applications, content management, and user experience/usability. Alex has a diverse background in web multimedia production, audio, video, animation, and graphics development as well as past employment in such areas as optics, medical product development, sales and marketing, and client relations.

 

Chris Jones - Media Designer
Chris is responsible for graphic design and web development projects at webslingerz. While he serves as a resource on several client engagements, his primary role is as a project manager and developer for the creation of event websites and webcasts for large corporate accounts.

 

Dan Metz - Media Designer
Dan is responsible for a range of design tasks at webslingerz including conceptualizing and implementing creative solutions for clients. While initially trained as a Product Designer, Dan has applied his skills and creativity to multimedia and web design since 1995. Dan holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Product Design from North Carolina State University and has completed Post-Baccalaureate Studies in the Fine Arts at the University of North Carolina. He was also a member of antfarm, a Raleigh studio art collective, for seven years and has exhibited in the North Carolina Museum of Art.

 

Scott Stancil - CTO
Scott is responsible for the network, server, and desktop systems at webslingerz. He is an expert in systems administration/security and has significant experience with a number of different operating environments. Scott holds an MS in Systems Management from the Florida Institute of Technology and a BS in Information Science with a concentration in Networks and Communications from Christopher Newport University.

 

Michael Hayes - Media Designer
Michael is responsible for graphic design and web development projects at webslingerz. He holds a degree in technical communication from the University of Central Florida. Over the past eight years, he has acquired a comprehensive skill set for designing and developing creative user interfaces for web applications and mobile devices. Michael delivers effective websites and interfaces for clients using standards-based markup, scripting, and style techniques.

 

Jay Beaton - Senior Developer
Jay is responsible for the creation of software applications for clients of webslingerz. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Masters in Engineering from North Carolina State University. In ten years as a software engineer, Jay has served as the lead developer on many projects including online catalog and supply chain management solutions, mobile applications, and content publishing tools. He is a specialist in many web technologies, database administration, and systems administration.

 

Neal Saxon - Web Developer
Neal is responsible for web development at webslingerz. He holds a BS in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. Over the past three years, Neal has implemented a variety of projects ranging from large commercial website storefronts to customized sites and applications for mobile phones.
