![]() The Schwinn Sting-RayFounded in 1895, Schwinn is an American icon which has built some of the best known and most loved bicycles of all time. In preparation for the relaunch of the Sting-Ray bicycle, Schwinn partnered with webslingerz to create bold new digital marketing solutions to tap into the legend of the 70's icon and lure both retailers and buyers to the reborn Sting-Ray. ![]() The Schwinn Sting-Ray To entice large retailers like Wal-Mart and Toys "R" Us into the sales channel, webslingerz utilized the rich-media potential Flash to create a multimedia sales presentation. The "Rebirth Of Cool" told the story of the wildly popular 'classic' Sting-Ray using vintage photography, video, and street interviews with former Sting-Ray riders. The presentation also introduced buyers to the new bike's innovative design and unique features in a presentation that conveyed the attitude of the Sting-Ray's legacy of cool. webslingerz then transformed the design themes from the presentation into the in-store collateral used to sell the Sting-Ray. "When developing the concept for the Schwinn Sting-Ray sales presentations, we wanted to create something that captured the excitement and energy of the bike," said Kristen Rumble, Director of Branding and Creative Services for Schwinn. "We needed a firm that could offer us both world-class design and a strong brand presence. Not only did webslingerz out-perform our expectations, but they created an aesthetic that set the bar for all our marketing initiatives."
