These are movies from Santorini, which is a Greek island in the Agean. Basically the whole island is a volcano which was blown apart by a huge eruption around 1500 BC. Some of the cites are built on the caldera rim, so there can be a thousand foot drop right off your veranda.

You will need Quicktime to view these movies. If you don't have Quicktime, download it here.

Movie #1 (2.6 megs)
This is a 360 degree view from my veranda. I stayed in Imerovigli, the highest part of the caldera rim next to Fira (the capital). It shows a good view of the inside of the caldera. My place is the whitewashed building you see from the 17 to 27 second mark of the movie. My room is the blue door you see at the 17 second mark.

Movie #2 (9.4 megs)
This is a view from a high point in Oia where you can watch the sunset. Santorini is famous for its sunsets, and you can see hundreds of people gathered in Oia to view them. The first 30 seconds of the movie show the city of Oia. From the 40 to 50 second mark you see Imerivogli. At the 46 second mark you can see my place at the left hand side of the white clump of buildings. From the 53 to 59 second mark you can see Fira.

Movie #3 (2 megs)
The sunset from my place. This movie starts off with a zoom-in of Oia.
